Specific privacy regulations were implemented recently as a result of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA). Our practice is dedicated to following the guidelines mandated by HIPAA and maintaining the privacy of your child's medical information. In conducting our business, we will create records regarding your child and the treatment and services we provide. We are required by law to provide notice of our legal duties and the privacy practices maintained by Coastal Pediatrics. We follow the terms of our Notice of Privacy Practices that we currently have in effect. The Notice of Privacy Practices is posted in the waiting room of both offices and a complete copy will be given to you at your first visit.
